Two details separate a working integration from a plausible one. First, UNAVAILABLE becomes bad quality rather than a string or a zero. Second, a Condition's meaning is its element name (Normal, Warning, Fault, or Unavailable), not its character data, which is usually empty.

Addressing

Address	Means
`dataItemId or name`	Address by either. Agents are inconsistent about which is stable.

The trap

UNAVAILABLE is the agent explicitly saying it has no reading. It becomes bad quality, not the text "UNAVAILABLE" and not zero.
